Michele’s career as a successful multi-instrumentalist session musician, songwriter, composer, producer and remixer spans over 30 years and all kinds of music genres.
During this time Michele has worked on hundreds of recordings by some of the most famous artists in the world.
Among others, Robbie Williams, Diana Ross, Ray Charles, Luciano Pavarotti, Donna Summer, Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Moby, Gloria Gaynor, Philip Bailey, Seal, Simply Red, Sugarbabes, Soul II Soul, Gabrielle, Lemar and many more.
His cheeky take on Brit girl groups resulted in the creation of naughty twosome Daphne & Celeste (Universal), much loved by Radio 1 and the New Music Express for its irreverent style. With Michele at the production helm, the group scored 2 UK Top 10 singles and 1 UK Top 20 album.
In the world of house music, Michele is best known for his work as a producer, remixer and session musician on hundreds of productions by some of the top DJs and dance acts in the world. Among others, Joey Negro (a.k.a. Dave Lee), Seamus Haji, Mark Knight, DJ Spen, Booker T, ATFC, Robert Owens, Bobby & Steve, DJ Disciple, Diane Charlemagne, S.E.L., Luciana Caporaso, Jesse Saunders, Terrence Parker, Danny Rampling, Victor Simonelli, Allister Whitehead, Booty Luv, and many more.
Among his many accolades, Michele was one of the main writers on the hugely successful dance-chillout Jakatta album ‘Visions’ (Ministry) which scored 3 UK Top 10s (American Dream, So Lonely, My Vision, featuring Seal) and many other Dave Lee’s projects, including Raven Maze (2 UK Top 10s), Akabu, Doug Willis and Sessomatto. He has also been a regular musician and co-writer on The Sunburst Band albums (Here Comes The Sunburst Band, Moving With The Shakers, Until The End of Time, The Secret Life of Us).
Michele has performed on hundreds of remixes by amount others, Madonna, Diana Ross, Bob Marley, P Diddy, Jennifer Lopez, Moby, Kylie Minogue, Philip Bailey, Kelly Rowland, Ashford & Simpson, Electric Empire, Cevin Fisher, Gossip, Hurts, Labrinth, Estelle, Mika, Daniel Merriweather, Robyn, Roisin Murphy, Just Jack, Orson, Dionne Bromfield and Natasha Beddingfield. He also formed a creative partnership with Allister Whitehead, remixing Christina Aguilera, Sugarbabes, Lemar, etc.
Aside from his Brazilian music influenced moniker Nova Fronteira (several releases originally on Dave Lee’s Z Records), Michele came onto his own in 2014, when he released the soulful house smash ‘Let Me See You (Clap Your Hands)’ on Spen’s Quantize Recordings, number 1 on Traxsource.
2018 was also a particularly good year. Together with master DJ Spen, Michele has secured the number 1 spot in the Billboard’s Dance Club Song Chart, with the remix of Donna Summer’s classic “Hot Stuff”, which is also featured in the Broadway musical about the legendary artist. Other Traxsource #1s remixes include David Morales “Believe”, Rhemi’s superb “Diamond”, Mickey More & Andy Tee “Philly Sensation” and Black Motion’s anthemic ‘Rainbow’.
Michele has also remixed legendary American singers Melba Moore, Ann Nesby, Byron Stingily, SuSu Bobien, Dawn Tallman, Kathy Brown, etc.
More recent collaborations include the ones with long time friends Andre Espeut (Groove Culture), Tyrone Lee, Pete Simpson and remixes of Josh Milan (Guri Guri Boys) and Lifford Shillingford (Beat Rivals).
In 2020, together with partner Fernanda Reis, Michele has launched Spry Records, a brand new label focused on releasing quality house music, influenced by soul, gospel, jazz and Latin music.
2021 has started with a string of very high quality projects, among which a remix of legendary CeCe Peniston and jazz sensation Jarrod Lawson. Michele has also been the main producer in S.E.L.’s upcoming new album.
Outside of house music, Michele has recently worked on hip-hop projects featuring some of the best names in US hip-hop. Among others, Canibus, Chris Rivers and Wrekonize, of ¡Mayday! fame.
He has also scored extensively for film, television and advertising.
Michele’s music has been used on some of the biggest TV shows in the world. Among others, The Big Bang Theory, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Criminal Minds, Survivor CBS TV, The Price Is Right, The Talk, The Young And The Restless, Life In Pieces, etc.
Other screen credits include major documentaries for the Discovery Channel, among which, ‘Quest for Gold’ and ‘The Wars of The Zulu’. Also How To Survive A Disaster Movie (Channel 5), Benidorm ER 2 (Channel 5), Escoffier (Channel 5), Dying For Clear Skin (BBC3), plus over 1000 syncs for BBC1 (The One Show, Strictly Dance Fever etc), BBC2, BBC3, ITV 1 (X Factor), ITV 2, Channel 4 (Big Brother, Place In The Sun etc), Channel 5, History Channel, Sky One, ESPN, Food Network, CBBC, UKTV Food, etc.
Michele has recently scored some music for Playstation’s ‘Narcos: Rise Of The Cartels’.
In the field of advertising, Michele has written the music for many commercials, including Toyota (100 Mile Journey), ENEL’s 50th Anniversary advert commissioned by SKY Arts (Passages Of Light), Nat West, Evian, Heineken, Gordon’s Gin, P&O, 555, Oral B, Tic Tac & Amigos Tequila (TV bumper for ITV comedy series ‘Plebs’).
